World Standards Day 2015 Ceremony in Iran

The 2015 World Standards Day Ceremony was held in Tehran on Oct 21, 2015.

The 2015 World Standards Day Ceremony was held in Tehran on Oct 21, 2015 with the presence of Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Executive Affairs, Mr. Mohammad Shariatmadari, First Deputy of the Speaker of the Parliament of Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Aboutorabi Fard, First Deputy Chief of Judiciary, Mr. Raisi, ISIRI President, ISIRI President's Deputies, ISIRI Director Generals, ISIRI Staffs and a number of stakeholders from academia, industries and business sectors.
During the ceremony ISIRI President, Mrs. Pirouzbakht; in her opening speech referred to 2015 WSD motto and said: ISIRI position among 163 ISO member states has been improved from 31 to 27 and also marked the development of 3503 national standards during the last year as a record.
In addition to unveiling of the stamp on the occasion of 90th anniversary of ISIRI establishment, 3 newly published books were introduced, namely as: Halal, History of ISIRI from establishment till the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and series of the national standards being developed during the presidency of Mr. Rouhani. 
In this event, the pioneers of national standards development, top quality control managers, the best national mirror committees, top researchers, top accredited inspection companies, top accredited calibration labs and the qualified production and manufacturing companies were honored.
